How it works
How play works
An honour-system board and queue: first-come, self-selected, and organised by level so every game stays fair.
Board & tags
Each court has a slot (1 to 9), plus three on-deck slots (A, B, C). Every tag carries a name and a coloured dot for skill level.
Self-selected games
Whoever's at the front of the queue picks the next game: their tag, plus three more from the queue. Pick based on skill level so everyone can have a fun and fair game.
When a court finishes
That group joins the back of the queue, and the on-deck tags shift down one spot to open a new slot.

Novice
- Comfortable rallying with the basics

Intermediate

All levels are self-selected, except Competitive, which is earned through a challenge system.
Common questions
Before you ask
Yes. Erindale Badminton Club is only for adults 18 years of age and older. Our insurance only covers adult players, so we are unable to accommodate children on the courts.
Not at all. We are an open, inclusive club and welcome players of every level. You will always find a game at your pace.
We use a friendly queue (board) system: the player at the front picks the next game, plays one game, then rotates off. This way courts turn over quickly and no one waits long.
Access to our courts for the full season, club-provided Yonex Mavis 300 shuttles (you are welcome to bring your own feather shuttles), social nights, our in-house tournament, and the year-end party.
Yes. Beginner-friendly coaching is offered on select dates through the season, and we let members know ahead of time and the day of. Sessions are only run if there is enough interest.

Every member pitches in
There's no staff, just us. Every member helps out by carrying the equipment bags (board, supplies, nets, and birds) between sessions, setting up nets before play, and packing everything up afterwards. It's part of what keeps membership affordable, and the club feeling like a club.
